I've been quiet so far, but no more.
I originally posted the link to the ffr group buy here and feel badly that by posting it here it in affect killed the deal.
Let me start by saying I own racedeck and love the product. That being said if I knew it was the policy of the company to fix prices to protects it's dealers and to personally attack someone it knows nothing about in a public forum I would not have done business with that company.
I hope that no one from that FFR group buy goes ahead and purchases racedeck on their own.
I also think that Robert Evans purposely misled me. He sent an e-mail to my personal e-mail address asking where I saw the group buy information. He never mentioned he wanted the info to protect his own monetary interest. Never mentioned he was a racedeck dealer. He also asked me where I live. In retrospect probably to find out if my state had a dealer. But on face value I took it that he wanted to come take a look at the racedeck. I sent two e-mails inquiring about his motive and have not received a reply back.
Also you say it is easy to get a price for Racedeck? Baloney. I called 4 dealers when I was buying it and got 4 different prices.
People generally don't like to buy something than find a better deal for it. You have a great product. Price it right and people will come. If dealers are regional why did all the dealers offer to ship it to me in NJ. Wouldn't the NE dealer get annoyed like Robert Evans did? They should all have the same pricing, a region to sell and their success depends on their marketing skills. If not let them all sell all around the country and let the best salesperson win. You can't have a sales scheme that combines both methods. It just confuses the consumer.
