That is what I was kind of thinking when I realize the amount of space that exists under the door jams all the way back. It could certainly be run there, although I would probably put it in tubing and secure the tubing. You do not want that cable chaffing, or you will have a nice barbecue going. The way that I should have run mine could probably be done with the panels in from underneath the car.
