Now I hear what your saying, we know THIS car DID have a 428 when new. Which was NEVER as desirable as the 427. I'm not sure it will make a huge difference to the buyer. Pretty easy to dump the 427 and buy a 428. After all, you don't have to worry about "matching numbers"!
Perhaps it's possible the car is MORE desirable with a 427?

When I sold mine I had to make the guy take the original engine !!! It was a 427 center oiler low riser

. To me at the time it was a boat anchor .
