Well, an interesting thread...

If you all step back and think about the origin country of many of the Cobra chasis and bodies (ie: Kirkham, Shelby, SuperFormance, and the list goes on) what you see are outsourced or imported products.

Most all of the tubular and square stock steel for chasis originates overseas now. As do many of the bolts, washers, nuts, wire, etc. No longer does a familiar American industrial name mean that it's products originated in the USA.

Which Cobra marques (replica or kit) are made here in the USA?
ERA and Factory Five, VSE, Antique & Collectible Autos, B&B, Unique come to mind.
