DOH! forgot some things... the old cover will be fine. Watch out for ones that are worn badly on the inside from cam walk. You will see an round indentation on the "X" on the inside of the cover. A small wear pattern is okay but anything really bad stay away from. Some of the FT timing covers I think had a larger hole for the larger steel crank snout of the steel FT crankshafts. The crank seal hole in the std FE cover is aprox 2 3/16". That's all! G.
