I was told that most of these cars went to Shleby, an only a few were built for Kirkham customers.. In fact if you queary up The Imperial Palace Auto Collection in Las Vegas you will see a Shelby FIA for sale for $150,000.00...i do not know why but there it is. From what i understand the demand for Cobras with coil over suspension is greater and the cost of tooling for the FIA with transverse leaf springs was high. I do not believe you can now get a period correct transverse leaf spring FIA Cobra from Kirkham but i do not know that for sure. From what i understand only a handfull of Kirkham FIA's were made. I believe the company is now focusing on their FIA Hybrid. I do not know if this makes any difference or if the facts are all correct. But before i part with this one i thought i would check things out first. If anyone has more information i would appreciate knowing.
