Scott...it's not splined...it's just a piece of threaded rod that's keyed. You'll need a boss with a 3/4" or 7/8" (I can't remember which) hole in it. You'll put the aluminum hub onto the end of the steering shaft to engage the keyway, then slide the boss down overtop of it, and then put the steering wheel on. The little aluminum piece will need to be drilled and tapped with the correct bolt pattern....then you just bolt everything together.

I didn't buy an adapter....I used a MotoLita steering wheel, but just made a hub out of 3.25" exhaust pipe....sanded it, primed, and painted it....I drilled and tapped the aluminum keyed piece and bolted the wheel straight to it. That's the easiest way.
