Sorry if I seemed to imply that all poor people were a$$holes, or that only poor people were a$$holes or anything of the sort. Heck, I've been poor myself, not that I'm wealthy now but I CAN afford a Cobra
There are plenty of arrogant, inconsiderate rich a$$holes, too. Lest anyone feel slighted, please allow me to make the point that, to the best of my knowledge, a$$holes come in all sizes, ages, colors, religious denominations, political persuasions and sexes, and so do well-mannered, considerate, thoughtful gentle people.
After giving this topic a lot of thought over the past couple of days, I guess I have to admit that, while I find it annoying when some "rich jerk" behaves boorishly, it seems to irritate me more when I have a similar encounter with someone who is toothless, uneducated, unwashed, unemployed and ill-mannered to boot; perhaps because in many cases, I'm helping to subsidize his/her life of irresponsibility.
I agree that it's a respect thing but I respectfully submit that when the President of the United States breaks the law, lies to the American people, uses his position to punish and coerce innocent individuals and steals the freakin' plates out of the freakin' white house, he sets a he!! of an example. THAT'S about respect.
And yes, I think it's a liberal thing, too. The liberals have brought us the "whatever you want to do is fine" attitude, typified by the complete lack of regard for others which has become so prevalent, and political correctness, which makes it unacceptable to demand or even expect basic courtesy from others.
Ron, Ya did the right thing!
Blue Rooster, The lollipop will wash off the car and your daughter may very well remember the Cobra for the rest of her life. I wish I had had my car while we still had sticky little lollipop fingers. The girls are grown now...
