What'cha doin' takin apart the dash???

Here is what I did a while back when I put the push button start button in my ERA...

I used a pointed tip Crescent brand needle nose pliers. Then when I loosend it I then used the notched nut as a pattern to file down an old socket drive to match the detents.

sadly, I have not used it since. Give a good needle nose plier a try. The needles fit into the detents or notches.
