Lets put it bluntly..ERA Sidepipes are a bear to get on!!!

Now that being said really don't understand what you mean by primary pipe? I assume you are talking about the headers...make sure you have them in the right position and yes you can get them mixed up.

What I had changed on my pipes were the tabs for the bolts...rather and trying to get them lined up and then just using the bolt to hold them together we faced the tabs at each other and then run a longer bolt through them and suck them together...gets a really good seal that way and its a 1 person job to put them on now.
