Steve,
I appreciate the question for advice, but you'd also do very well to listen to the input of these other guys here. Lots of them have FAR more knowledge than I do.
However, my opinion is going along with theirs. If...and that is an IF considering this is Ebay...this is legitimate, it's probably not a bad deal if it sells around $15K-$17K. But I'd be cautious. Buy it only if it is really what you want to do. It is a non "maintstream" Cobra, and the Chevy motor (regardless of how good or bad it is) is uncommon in Cobras. It can have a definite negative effect on the value. Not to mention the auto trans... not my personal favorite, but that's your call. If you don't care about people raising their eyebrows at car shows and such, or intend to resell the car any time soon, check it out a little further. Don't know much about the "402" Chevy block. Truck motor maybe???
Steve
PS...unless you really think this is a can't miss opportunity for you, I'd wait. Carlisle is next weekend, and you will find more Cobra stuff there than you can possibly imagine. Not to mention probably several cars for sale that you can actually sit in and crawl all over.

Some people choose to rattle their windows with stereos and speakers... I choose to rattle windows with my right foot.
