I have seen Lynn's all aluminum single axle and very light trailer, hauling his also very light 289 racecar.
It is a superb and very low setup, with beautiful complete flooring and built in ramp mounts and tie downs. I would love to duplicate it.
Knowing Lynn a little tiny bit, I would be very surprized if it had less than 3500# axles (if not 7000#) and very fine tires.
He is willing, however, to hazard a single tire failure and full loss of load support, in exchange for easy of hand moving, lighter weight and less drag. Axle breakage is not really the issue here.
So, he is not likely to be using $30 tires to support his quarter-million-dollar load, is he?
