My brothers Mustang was an early '66(not Shelby)4v and my cousins Fairlane was an early '65 4v.

Like I said I don't know for sure. I know I was surprised when my brother bought his car, used in '67 to see the black block because a friend of mine had a late '66 Mustang coupe with a blue block--that's why I remembered my brothers being different--I was always a Chevy guy so rarely paid much real attention to Fords other than Shelbys.
