Everyone....I plan to invite Discovery motorsports to the event as a vendor, but he is actually a friend and a really nice guy. He sells all kind of stuff, from ratchet straps to gloves to suits to stopwatches, to floorjacks etc etc. I'll keep you posted and if he can come, it will make this a lot easier on all by being able to just show up and get the little things that may have been forgotten.
The neck collar is not at all mandatory. I have a couple in my gear bag if someone needs one at the track. If that person sweats on it, I will sell it to them cheap. I wear a HANS, and it makes me go faster.
Be sure to get a fresh alignment on the car before coming to the track. Maybe get some advice from the manufacturer or someone familiar with a good track setup. You do not want to be squirrely on the straights.
This is fun instead of scary due to adequate preparation. Racing has slight tolerance at best for incapacity or procrastination.
Chip, this is not ClubMiata.....Sell it and spend the money on tires to sell to the guys that wear 'em out ! You'll make a fortune.
Chip, and eveyone, your car (Daytona,Cobra, or otherwise) must be properly track prepared. That means a roll bar, fire extinguisher, metal battery hold down, no
antifreeze, catch cans ,good brakes, wheel bearings, proper tires, race seat belts, etc etc. and under 104db sound limit imposed by the track.
Terry, glad you got a suit. Last year we had no problems with the noise, no crazy driving, nothing but fun. Let's do it again.
