Default Registering vehicle in MA

Hello,

Can anyone enlighten me on the the vehicle registration process in MA, I am probably going to build a Kirkham with a 427 engine, either a side oiler or a new shelby aluminum block.

I called the state of MA and they were no help for registering a kit car. All they said was it had to pass current emissions, but they did not know what that meant.

I just got car fever and picked up a nice 67' mustang convertible GTA with A/C and a 390, so my Cobra project got pushed out about a year, I'm working on the engine now, I have a side oiler block and I'm building that up, feel free to offer advice, I am planning on stroking it to 482 ci.

Regards
Jim
