I have a 3550 that leaks fluid from the rubber dust cover on the mid-shift conversion installed by the folks form whom I purchased the transmission new. Turns out after much research that it is missing the "Oil Deflector" which is listed as Part #2606154 in the mid-shift conversion kit but nowhere in the instructions is this part ever pictured or referenced as to how it is installed, which explains (somewhat) why the person installing the kit never put it in. Now I am trying to track down this part and how to put it in. Today I received the part from one dealer and it has obviously been pried out of a used transmission and is bent up, so the search goes on. I have attached a picture of the part to clarify the descriptions I've seen here.
