I installed rubber strip to the bottom of my side curtains ,
I have driven in heavy rain with good results !

I too have had Jack install my top , he had to make the
pin holes larger . Job came out very good , I use it often !

ERA said you could have a local guy install the top , be sure
they see the " install the top " section of ERAs web sight
