Powrby4d, Yes that is the part!! After about 1000miles I did develop a leak from my tranny...just a single drop every now and then. When I built my Cobra I built a removable service hatch around the shifter. After removing the shifter on the Tremec I was able to figure out how the piece fits: The oil deflector fits on the bottom part of the shifter, under the mounting plate. The metal ring on the "deflector" fits snuggly into the round housing just above where the shifter engages the gear selection tabs. I know this may not be very clear, but once you have the shifter removed from the tranny it will be clear where this piece fits. I now have almost 6000 miles on my Cobra and not a hint of a tranny leak!
