flatliner - good to know this has happened to someone else and is reasonably simple to resolve. I am curious as to whether the rubber funnel part goes up or down, but as you say perhaps this will be obvious when I take the shifter turret out I assume that the entire turret has to come off in order to fit this underneath. I am also curious as to whether this is a "press" fit (requires force like a seal) or whether it is just placed between in such a way that it cannot move. The dealer who sent me the bent-up used part has agreed to try and locate a new one, so I hope to be back on the road soon. Many thanks for the info.
