Default DVSFIV Poker Run details!

Well, that cat is out of the bag! You asked for more seat and here it is!

There are four groups that will be traveling the same route. Two in one direction and two in the other. So you and Central Ohio will see us coming and going all day long! The first group will depart the hotels at 9 (or before please!) with a group following every 15 minutes alternating between following the route clockwise or counter clockwise. This is a run at your own pace kind of event. No line-ups or escorts. Just get out and enjoy yourself! Hook up with a group or just run at your own pace. It is your day and we will be there for you.

There will be two poker runs in one! The first is for great prizes and the second is a 50/50 for cash!

For the prize poker run you will be given one card at each stop and the fifth card at the party that evening. The person with the highest hand wins first prize, second highest second prize and so on. Ties will be broken by drawing the highest card from a fresh deck.

For the 50/50 poker. At each stop and again at the party that evening you will be able to buy hands of five cards for $5. You can buy as many hands as you want and combine them to make the best hand possible. Obviously, we will have ties and that is where the fun comes in! We will split folks up that are tied for the best hand and deal one hand of five card draw. The winning hand from each group will go to the 'finals'. The winning hand from the final hand gets half of all the cash collected for the 50/50 hands and CF gets the other half! The total pot could easily be in the thousands!

Now for the stops. We have four great stops for you.

Jeg's High Performance. You all know them so no introduction needed. We will be stopping at the store where it all began many years ago. www.jegs.com

Champps Resturant and Bar. Good atmosphere and good food. www.champps.com Deep freeze the credit cards fella's, Champps is right next door to some of the finest dining, shopping and entertainment offered any where! People actually travel from far off just to come to Easton Town Center! www.eastontowncenter.com

The Bogey Inn. A very fun joint with a full menu and bar, bocci courts, sand volley ball, large outdoor patio. The Bogey's histort goes back to the 1800's when it was a stage coach stop over, spent some time as a natorious biker bar and now is the favorite haunt for duffers. Are you a golfer? The Bogey is accross from Murfield Village Golf Club and the Bogey is where the pro's come to party every year! Sorry, no web site available at this time.

Der Ducthman. Ohio and the surrounding states are where many Amish and Mennonite people have settled and Der Dutchman is one of the finest examples of home cooked food you will find at any Amish resturant. Still hungry? Check out the deli and bakery shop full of fresh baked goods, condiments and home prepared specialties. Care to take a little of the Amish home with you? They also have a large gift shop full of local arts and crafts. If you are hungry when you leave Der Dutchman then you didn't get a seat! www.dhgroup.com/restaurants/ddrplain

Worried you won't have enough time to enjoy the stops? Don't be. I drove the entire route last week and it takes about 3.5 hours. With the groups departing between 9 and 9:45 and wanting to be back at the hotels by 3:30 - 4 to prepare for the big party that night, you will have plenty of extra time to take it easy and enjoy.

Your route that day will give you a good sampling of Central Ohio and I am sure will be talked about here long after the dust clears! There is not a single bit of highway driving in the entire route. You will see everything from Landmarks to Land and from Palaces to the Projects!

Well, there is the basics! I certainly hope you enjoy the first DVSF poker run.

Rick
