My references in my previous posts have all been to the latest generation small block chevy (LS1).
I think people generalise a bit sometimes when they get into these Ford Vs Chev debates. The truth is that all of the powerplants from the various manufacturers out there have their good points and bad points. People can wave the flag for their favourite brand but in the end most of the modern V8 motors are well engineered and can do the job asked of them.
I can see this argument going on well into the next century "I like the Ford engine because it has overhead grease widgets so it must be better than the Chev engine because it only has ceramic doodad injectors."... "Well I reckon the new Toyota engine is the business because it's got triple flux capacitors and a fusion doover".
Get over it guys it's just an engine. People are going to choose the engine that suits them, be it the original style or something else.
