Besides the passenger cars many pickups came with FE and FT engines also so keep that in mind when you are out shopping. Get a few Ford parts books to reference the casting numbers and do your homework to know what your looking at as many of these engines look similar to each other on the outside. It's getting hard to find these in the bone yard but they still pop up from time to time. You should be able to find a nice 390 for around $500 complete needing a rebuild. The 428's are more and the 427's are WAAAAYYYYY up there. Good luck, G.
