Hi Bob!
Yes I would be game to go for the ride on Saturday! Sounds swell. I will have to be back home by 4 PM or so as we have live theater tickets for a play so I may have to beg out by 3 in the afternoon.
I shall check with my better half and see what "our" plans are for Saturday.
As you know, ahem.... "my" plans and "our" plans can sometimes become unzippered. Half Full is running well. I was at the Stratford Cruise night on Tuesday.
Two really fine cars were there, both owners live a good 5 wood drive away from me, small world. Dragone arrrived with a 1951 Frasier-Nash original car he just picked up. It was in british racing green with a Bristol (BMW) period engine with 3 carbs and headers. This is very much like a Cobra with 4" round tube chasis and the same engine as in the Bristol Ace. This was a magnificent car and is for sale by Dragone if he does not keep it for himself. BTW, he also has a real nice Allard with a hemi.
Also there was a 1952 mint MINT XK-120 (beee still my heart) in red with hardtop coupe configuration. This car was perfect in all respects and the owner just lives around the block from me come to find out. He also has his father's 1938 Packard which was bodied in Bridgeport as a sports tourer. I HAVE to go see this and help him wax it. Neat guy... he is 86 years YOUNG.
Also... in the SMALL WORLD department... I have often seen a dark blue Cobra S/C on the streets of my town over the years. Thanks to Gene Friedland's help, I have found that this gent lives ONE BLOCK away from me. He has a Midstates Cobra.
Good news Bob is that he uses the car. Maybe there will soon be THREE of us on tours? Hubba Hubba!
Cheers Amigo... BTW, did you use the Kozak cloth yet?
