Hotfingers: No 427's in 67 Cougars, huh? That poor kid. I hope he didn't spend a ton of $$ on the car thinking it was all original. Heck, maybe he has the year of the car wrong instead (if he were lucky!). Weren't a lot of changes made between 67 and 68 if I remember right. Oh well............he was young, and you live and learn.

Clay: Thanks for the ERA site.......very interesting. I clicked on the FE engine forum that was highlighted in the site and spent the last couple hours there just "reading". You could easily spend weeks there. Looks like there's a lot of die hard FE guys there that know their stuff. I may go back and join the site, then ask the same question there (about which cars came with 427 Side Oilers). I'm sure if we all put our heads together here we could figure it out. We may not be able to come up with the actual "number" of engines built / put in cars............but that may be one of those questions that NOBODY has the exact answer to.
