The only factory installed 427 side oilers that have been documented (standard production) are as follows:
Late '65 Galaxies (very few) All early production cars came with center oilers.
'66 and '67 Fairlanes and Comet/Cyclones
The above mentioned cars were equiped with the real deal, 410(4V)/425(8V) hp solid lifter, medium riser, side oiler 427s.
'68 Cougar GTE (390 hp hydraulic cam 427s)
The 427 was replaced in late '68 with the 428CJ
For such a famous engine Ford put scant few in actual production cars. I'd be willing to bet that from '63 to '68 Ford installed less than 2000 to 2500 427s of all types in production cars.
No wonder they are so rare.
The Cobras don't count just like the few 427's installed in GT 500s because Ford didn't build them.
