What you are looking for is a ford small case 7078 alternator, it is the only one that will fit without modification. Tuff stuff makes them in chrome or painted in 70 and 100 amp and also 1 wire. If you go to their web site you can find them. Jegs has them in stock. Even with the 100 amp they still idle at the same amperage Mine is a 65amp chrome alternator that ive been running for years (rebuilt once). I was going to get a new one for more amperage but before I did I took it to the shop and had them check it out. It put out 55amps at 2200rpm aternator speed. which was more than enough at idle. thus I went to a 2 5/16 pulley and have had no trouble since.
