I don't like to mix and match... so if you know who made the cam, go with that manufactures suggested lifters. A roller cam must use roller lifters. If there is a difference in the height of the lifters (old and new) then you may need to replace the push rods to keep the geometry correct. Again, check with the cam manufacture to see what they recommend.

For my info, is this a GM rebuilt block, or something you picked up "along the way"? Is the cam stock or aftermarket? Just trying to get a feel of what your dealing with.
