Craig's right. I think DRB's first 2000 model had a tilt bonnet. I believe Dennis initially built it for himself and it was probably a "development" car. It's red in colour (no stripes) and I've seen it at Sanctuary Cove (not that I get there too often - not enough hours in the week
)
I suppose its how authentic you want your finished car. Practically, its definitely the way to go, but not sure asthetically.
I like the way Craig's and Scott's cars are, but these are serious power houses, whereas us "little" boys only need to tart up the engine bay and then maintain it with a little polish
On a serious note, when replacing all my wiring sheeving I did end up with a sore back (which I never ever get) as a result of stooping over the paintwork.
At the end of the day its personal choice.
I must admit the yankee pics look pretty impressive.
