I don't see scratches as that big of a problem, it's the other stuff you pick up on the road that is, You know, the stuff that melts and embeds to the metal!. Although I did find a way to get it off, a 3" cloth buffing wheel mounted in a die grinder, and use a medium grit polishing compound. So far I have not screwed up the ceramic coating, this will probably take care of the scratches.
