I haven't been watching the forums the last few months- finishing up my car, Carlisle Kit Car Show, the fling, and working on other heater opportunities

3.5 amps per seat.

The reason that the pads are smaller than you would expect is because the entire carbon fiber heats up (unlike the old wire style heaters which only radiated heat about 3/4" from the wire "S"curve through material)

Thermal images show a 50% increase in the body heat from the smaller carbon fiber pads. The heaters are an OEM ford and Diamler Chrysler product, also used in the BMW 5 Series, and is also the the same heating element going in the new C6!
