I would have used 2.73's if the Ford Motorsports gears were available in that ratio. 2,500 RPM's is turning too fast in a BB 2,500 lb. Cobra on the highway. You need to be thinking about 1,800 RPM.

If the suspension is set up correctly, you have a serious highway cruiser with the higher gears.

For track, the FE is such a stump puller that you will actually turn better times if you don't rev it as much.

Definitely the 3.23's.
