I'd say my estimate was a little on the low side. To be honest, that engine should make a little more than that. FRP's 392ci crate engine makes 430hp with their stock heads.....the AFR's should really bring it to life....I think I read an article in Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords where they tested the crate engine and then bolted on a set of AFR's....pretty sure it came close to 500hp. But they may have been using AFR 205's....I can't remember for sure. The only thing that would keep you from getting there would be the cam, and the fact that you're using a dual plane intake. I think that combo is a little tame for this engine.

I changed the cam to a Crane cam that I had ordered a couple years ago....I think it was a 230 I, 232 E, .563" I and .595" E with a 110 lobe separation.....with this cam and a single plane intake, the hp went up to 470hp at 6000 rpms, and 458 lb-ft at 4500.
