Yep, it was me who said that. That's based on what I see them sell for on ebay, and what FE engine shops sell them for. When I thought the Sidewinder was the "correct" intake for a proper Cobra engine, I was looking all over the place for them. I still see them on ebay all the time. I have never seen one sell for over 500, and 400-450 seems to be the norm. Now the correct 65 medium riser intake, which looks like a Sidewinder but with a centered carb, sell for close to 600 in nice shape. I went with the Blue Thunder intake, since it visually looks like the correct meduim rise intake, but with better performance, and cost less new than a used 40 year old Sidewinder.
