Hi There,
I've emailed Peter at DRB about my problem but thought I'd post it here as I usually get a faster response.
I have an aluminium fuel tank. As per DRB specs I have made an aluminium cover plate and attached a bracket to hold the EB Falcon fuel pump.
I got some steel tubing for the fuel line in and out. I went to my local radiator man to get the tubing welded in and he tells me that steel and aluminium cant be welded together.
Originally, I was going to use aluminium tubing but the wall thickness is much greater. So if I use the same outside diameter aluminium tubiung then the inside diameter is greatly reduced (restricting fuel flow). OK so why not match the inside diameter I hear you say. When the inside diameter is the same, the outside diameter of the aluminium tubing is too large to fit into the fuel pump.
Any ideas?
