Chuck.....lots of builders on Club Cobra to talk to and answer your questions about aluminum motors.

Depending on the car, you'll find requirements for different options and modifications. You need to look at the many different requirements and driving conditions you might encounter.

The builders on this site all have customers who will talk to you and answer your questions. The builders on this site also have special knowledge of Cobras and the things you need to allow for on each application. Finding a builder that can handle all the details will be helpful if your doing the installation yourself. If you have an installer helping, then a motor with less than all the details will work too...you'll just need to track down all of the things not provided for your application.

The details are crucial for the installation and, of course, for a solid and dependable engine. Much of the total cost is in the details. So when you start considering pricing on aluminum motors, be sure you understand all of the details and options the builder will provide and the knowledge and experience they can offer for your specific application!

My Best,
George
