Default wiped lobe on a cleveland? Part Duex

I wondered where the heck this thread went Brent

My initial stethoscope diagnosis was right on............ wiped on the intake of number four. One side of the lifter is the same height as new, the other about 1/8" shorter. Good news is that the filter caught almost all the debris but I flushed the motor out well any ways. No metal at all floating around the top end, rest of the valve train looks good, clearence all check and the motor is clean as a whistle inside. Amazing how much easier it is to rotate a motor without the valve train attached.

QUESTIONS!!!!!

- confirm something for me (laughter is OK), this motor does fire in even 90 degree increments doesn't it?

- The cam gear won't pull off the cam with out pull the crank gear at the same time, correct? (what a pain)

Soon to be on the road again...........

Rick
