maybe you're right Bernie...but...my post in the lost thread had to do with the legal definition of an imobiliser.

Whats wrong with just a hidden switch in the starting system somewhere??.

Not being critical but thats what I would have done at the time to get full compliance.

Whilst the engineer was looking at other things...I would have raced down to dick smith/jarcar and bought a switch.
