Well I'm sitting here trying to work out how old I was when my first daughter was born..
Stef..
I was 24....then 26 for the second daughter....nearly 28 for my son.. and finally 29 for our last daughter. Only one son..
Anne my wife is 3 years younger, so we had our children well before she was 30.
Luckily, she had plenty of money so she stayed at home and stayed with the kids throughout their primary school and secondary school years. I've since spent all her money...
..she is now returning the favour and seriously..
Anne ran a marketing and promotions company from home and always went to school with the kids and we both went to every school activity we could.
Our kids have grown up with all types of cars. I think thats good for them. We have had about 20 different hobby cars during our married life and we took the kids to Street Rod runs, shows and Christmas events.
We had 7 classic cars, 2 sports cars, a drag car, 2 street machines, 3 Street Rods and American classics. Our kids were involved in all of these and spent time at events along with washing and polishing.
My son Todd now enjoys his cars all the more. He was at the Australian Nationals and had fun driving my car (faster than me).
We spent a few days driving back along the coast highway together.
I took him to Lorne down the Ocean Road on the weekend, had lunch and a few coffees with two of his Mini Cooper 'S' club friends. He gets on the "forum" here also and gives me a bit of stick or has his say.. we know where he gets that from..
Todd put his car on the "Forum" gallery here. He told me it will do until I give him the Cobra.
My girls are not big car fans, but certainly are not turned off by car enthusiast boys. My yougest Danni would love a Mustang Coupe like Dad had..:3Dsmile:
Guess what I'm saying is, spend tons of time with your kids and always talk to them about their day and what they do.
Stef..
You will enjoy it all. I agree, send your wife out for a few hours with her friends. She deserves it.
..if I'm right, she was about 9 months pregnant when you were at the Australian Nationals ( and I nearly ran you down...
)
Now if Anne reads this she will want the Credit Card again..
She recently lost hers. I didn't report it to the Police, as the person who found it is spending far less than her..
