Unfortunately, the BMW M5 engine is most likely out of the question - unless of course I can find one for a comparable price to an LS1, then I'll
make it fit!. However........... when I was after the specs for the M5, I stumbled across an article regarding the new GT40, and more importantly its engine! Now I know that the Boss engines Ford have over here are just about impossible to fit to any kit. I'm going to hope that 5.4L DOHC supercharged modular V8 engine fitted to the GT40 is not the same as a Boss, but going by the lack of them going to projects at the moment, I'm going to have to assume that they are.
Anyway, here's a picture of the engine that I'd love to put in my replica.
