Alan,
What's the weight of your car with the cabon fiber body. I know Hershel's car weighs around 2250lbs, and that's right about where mine is going to weigh. I mailed you a little over a year ago about those cars. When I first started looking for a GT40, I was very interested in Phil Ware's GT40NZ car. The price was great, then the market took a dump and the exchange rate changed. I was initially looking as a deluxe kit for around $40,000 from NZ, but Phil sold the company and the only way to buy one was as a turnkey minus for a lot more than I could pay. I know a fellow in Seattle who is building one, the first or second one in the states actually, he's a happy man, and his car looks great. In the end, I wound up buying the first MDA GT40 in the U.S. after my deal for an RF GT40 fell through. I was hoping to build my MK I and sell it, then build a MK II for keeps. I hoped to get around $80-85K for it. It'll have a '66 289 converted to a roller valvetrain with stack fuel injection or webbers, haven't decided. Renault transaxle and knock off wheels. I figure the induction and wheels add around $7K to the price. Just hoping the market is there for it. Well best of luck to you. The car looks great by the way.
