Thumbs up Immaculate Custom B&B Cobra

Title Year: 1966 with WA Collector Plates (no emissions or license tabs!)

Miles: 5000 approx.

Model: AC Cobra 427 s/c (replica)

Manufacturer: B & B Manufacturing (LA Exotics)

Engine: Short Block is a 460 Cu. Inch Ford Motorsports Crate Motor (one of the last ones that still used the SVO forged pistons (new ones use Hypereutectic) – 535 HP advertised, Original 72 cc Cobra Jet Heads, Ported and assembled at Jim Greens Performance, Bronze guides, hardened seats, etc.. One piece SS Manley valves (2.25” intake & 1.75” exhaust), Aluminum Crane Roller Rockers (1.73)

Cam: Motorsports -6250-A443

Manifold: Edelbrock Torker single plane

Carburetor: Holley 850DP zinc body with K&N filter

Oil Pan/Pump: Moroso 10qt. Rear sump with windage tray and Cobra Jet pump

Pulleys: Full March brand billet aluminum set

Ignition: MSD6a with a 6000 rpm rev limiter with a Mallory Unilite Distributor with 8mm wires

Performance: 0-60 mph estimated 3.5 seconds, Ό mile estimated 11.5 seconds around 120mph

Electrical: Nascar Battery 900+ CCA, H.D. Battery switch under rear bumpers

Transmission: C6 Bullet-Proof Automatic (pro-built), Cobra torque converter, HD roller bearing assembly, shift kit, HD servo piston, and Amsoil synthetic, Finned aluminum high capacity oil pan, manual style shifter, and two coolers. (Two of the fastest original Cobra’s were automatics. Carroll Shelby owned one of them personally and Bill Cosby owned the other. They both had twin superchargers, and Shelby chose the C6 for its reliability under high HP.)

Interior: One of a kind custom made alloy dash and console with billet grab bar. Full Set of White Face AutoMeter Phantom Gauges. Leather seats and original style Dino wheel. Carbon Fiber lined compartments throughout.

Differential: 9” Ford rear end with reconditioned axles, new seals and bearings

Detroit True-Trac Locker, 3:00 gears, and NHRA approved 3” studs at rear axle

Tires: Goodyear Racing tires

Wheels: 15”x8” front, and 15”x10” PS Engineering wheels

Suspension: KYB gas shocks up front and adjustable Koni's in back, Eibach 275# racing springs at rear, Complete Energy Suspension bushings set at the rear

Brakes: 4-wheel manual disc brakes (10” front rotors and 9” rear rotors). Proportioning valve (60% front and 40% rear),
Stainless steel brake lines all around.

Fuel: Unleaded regular o.k., but I always use Supreme, 15 gallon Triangle Fuel Cell, (one) Mallory 110gpm electric pump at tank, (one) Carter Mechanical 55 gpm pump at engine

Cooling: One 2800 cfm electric fan and one 9" mechanical fan, with a four core aluminum radiator, and a Weiand aluminum water pump

Steering: Flaming River manual tight turning steering rack with billet aluminum couplers. Front end aligned in 2001.
