Default Gearing Selection Advice

Hey all you experts, I need your help.

I have decided to buy an SPF, and Performance Engineering is doing my motor. We have gone with an alluminium 351W bored and stroked to a 427 w Dart Alluminum heads. Should be about 550hp.

So here comes my question. Stock SPF rear end is 3.73. I have decided to go with the Tremec 600 (II) 5spd.

What would you experts suggest on a 5th gear (.68 or .82)? and what would you suggest on a rear axle?

I want as much useable low end power perfer 0-60 without shifting.

I want to have enough highway gearing to cruise without winding the motor.

And burn some rubber when I feel like it.

Suggestions?

Regards.

Drew
