Default Comp Cams 282S

Yes Sir!, That is the same camshaft that was reccommended to me by the Fellas at Comp Cams.I phoned their toll free number and told them that I had a F.E 427 .017 Over,10:1 Comp,Edelbrock Alum heads mildly ported,TWM 58mm DFI,TKO 600 RR Trans with a 3:31 Jag rear gears. I was looking for mostly street use with an occasional Rip down the track with that "Rumbly" Idle sound ( As if the side exhaust needs any help),Solid Lifter Camshaft that doen`t require constant adjustment, and about a 6500RPM limit. They said that this one will do nicely!.In my opinion - this camshaft will work well in your 390 as well. Go ahead and call the Help line for some advice, they will plug your parameters into their camshaft selection "Calculator" and presto....Theres your ideal cam. Take care..Mike
