I ran the same exact cam on my last Cobra with a 428 and ported iron heads like yours and around 10.0 compresion. Mildly rough idle but not too rough. The 282S may sound a little more radical in your 390 than it did in my 428. If you are running this in a replica Cobra with an automatic trans and you plan to drive this car on the freeway at all, 3.70 gears are pretty low for such a light car. You could get away with 3.31s easy with that cam and still launch pretty well. How tall are your rear tires gonig to be and what stall speed are you planning to run for your converter?
