The Oklahoma State Flower is mistletoe, which slowly but surely kills trees.

I have heard that the Louisiana State Flower is mildew, but I have not confirmed.

Hey, any of you adrenaline junkies are welcome at my house... I'm 50 miles north of the Red River and you can see my house from US 69, the main drag between Houston and Chicago.
