Thanks for not flaming me. Of course Vintage is an advertiser here and a fine company by all accounts. They are an exceptional valve to boot. I am sorry for misunderstanding. I was clearly on a carb induced bender. I hear Vintage and hear vintage, ie period, 1960's stuff.

The alloy used in 1960's wheels, whether it be magnesium or aluminum was brittle and never meant to be in service for an extended length of time. Using them today for anything but a coffee table is crazy. That said they are still available on e-bay, sometimes for as much as $2000 each.
