There are other parts you need to replace such as your
oil cooler (that debris in the
oil had to go somewhere), possibly your braided SS hoses that carries the
oil to your cooler. I have dis-assembled my oil pump to see if there was any damage to the impeller and I also checked my oil pump rod that is driven by the distributor. During disassembly I found the smaller piece of the cam wedged against the distibutor and I will be taking my dist in to be checked as well.
I have already had the block magged/sonic checked and sleeved and I have sold it with the crank(un turned obviously) for $600.00. Ironically the crank magged okay.
PS-The pistons are Speed Pro's, Rods are C7AE-B (7 rods I sold for $175.00), remaining 7 pistons I sold for $100.00. And yes the cam was a comp solid lifter (571 lift 236 duration).
