Ed, I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter. I pray that her tumor is of a benign type, and/or responds well to radiation/etc. I've seen alot of people/children stricken with these horrible diseases, and it always make you so sad.

I would say you need to talk to the doctor's that were treating her, as I think they would be able to explain. I believe that actually a MRI is better for detecting brain tumors than a CT scan, although, if the tumors are small, they can be undetectable, such as a pituitary adenoma, which are detected many times by the hormones the tumors produce even though they cannot be detected by any type of x-ray even when they are known to exist.
