Thanks for the picture -- it looks like a great option to consider. I wonder whether the extra surface area provided by the oval shape is greater than the surface area obtained through the use of the X-Stream lid and the 9" filter. If so, it would seem to be a great alternative to cutting the hood.


One thing for sure-- it sure looks better than the X-Stream lid!
