Edelbrock heads respond really well to an Edelbrock Performer intake. The bueaty in getting the intake is that the ports match up almost perfectly without much port matching.

Any good vacuum secondary carb will work well for your needs. You could run a double pumper if you like but for a mild street engine a good Holley or Demon 750 would be perfect.
